The Blaine County Charitable Fund has released its 2025 Impact Report , highlighting a year defined by rising need, rapid response, and community-driven support. As economic pressures, housing instability, and shifting access to public benefits impacted more households, the Fund provided critical assistance to neighbors facing urgent financial crises—many for the first time. Throughout the year, support from donors and partners made it possible to help families remain house

Field Report from Joey
Hi humans, Joey here. I sniffed through the 2025 Impact Report so you don’t have to (you’re welcome). Here’s what I found, pretty paw-some stuff: Helped 334 households (that’s a lot of new friends) 50% were brand new faces (I love meeting new people…especially if they have snacks) Delivered 2,700 hours of coordinated care (that’s more hours than I nap…almost) 46% avoided eviction (which means more cozy homes—very important) 6 families bought their forever homes (FOREVER homes

Volunteers: The Heartbeat of a Vibrant Community
" The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others. " - Mahatma Gandhi. At BCCF, we are constantly reminded that while financial support fuels our mission, it’s the hands, hearts, and time of our volunteers that truly bring it to life. During Volunteer Appreciation Month , a simple “thank you” hardly feels like enough. When individuals step forward—not just with gifts, but with their energy, passion, and belief in our cause—they become an essential p

Empty Bowls Filled with Tom Kah Kai and More
STORY AND PHOTOS BY KAREN BOSSICK Liz Keegan fought back tears as she addressed a gymnasium full of people happily slurping soup from handmade ceramic bowls. “By my calculation, one of every 75 residences in our valley is here,” said Keegan, who serves on the board of the Blaine County Charitable Fund. “This is community. And you’re here because you care about your community, you take care of your neighbors.” Indeed, the community came together Sunday at the Presbyterian Chur

You won't want to miss "Where did we sit on the bus?"
Blaine County Charitable Fund is proud to sponsor this production by the Liberty Theater Company. During a third-grade lesson on the civil rights movement and Rosa Parks, a Latino eight-year-old raises their hand to ask, "Where did we sit on the bus?" And the teacher can't answer the question . This coming-of-age story examines finding identity in art, family, and culture, and what being Latino means through the eyes of a child, turned teenager, turned adult. On Tuesday, Oc
